What Is Batch Two - Overworld P2?

The Batch Two-Overworld P2 is a creative design contest meant to get artists to submit original character designs that derive inspiration from the diverse biomes of Minecraft. From the cherry blossoms of the Plains to the mystical and dreamy Mesa, the contest intends to foster creativity and respect for original designs while borrowing inspiration from the become technically beautiful world of Minecraft.

How to Play

For participation, you would want to establish character designs from any of the specified Minecraft biomes. Each of the designs must take on evident traits from their chosen environment and abide by all set contest guide lines. Constructive remixing of character designs to produce something new is thirty percent of the fun! The contest is open to all, but one participant can only win two prizes.

Tips & Tricks

Respect Original Designs: Feel free to simplify or make minor adjustments to them, just don't make them unrecognizable, outright steal, or use anything without permission.
Theme It Up: Each biome has a flavor; from emo vibes from the Savana to sneaky types of the Mesa, pour some spirit of their environment into your character.
Stay Faithful to the Species: Avoid giving them a human form unless instructed by the contest. Always keep their species intact.
Have Fun: This one may be the most important rule: Enjoy yourself and let your creativity run wild!?

History

This contest is part of a series of Design Themed Articles (DTAs) that celebrate design and the Minecraft community. The second batch centers on Overworld biomes and carries on the legacy of highlighting wonderful designs after the success of earlier batches.

While the contest may be hosted on a site that restricts some features or acts as a very common platform, one can still enter by following all contest rules and submitting the designs through the official share channels in the Minecraft community or the specified submission platform.

Can I enter more than two designs?: All persons shall have no more than two prizes.
Does my entry have to be a remix?: Yes, except for meme templates that should be added in the studio.
Can I change the names of the characters?: Yes, but not the species and design themes.
When is the due date?: The due date for Batch Two is June 30, no extensions.
