What is Speed Search?

Speed Search is a fast reflex game that will tax your reflexes and attention to detail. At an exciting pace, you are asked to quickly identify and click upon pairs of identical objects scattered around in the demanding scene of clutter. The clock is ticking away- the faster you find the objects, the better your score will be. Will you have the speed and wit to hit high scores, or will you be drowned in 'Just too Much' clutter?

How to Play

The core objective of Speed Search is simply to find matching pairs of objects as quickly as possible. Here's how you can get started:

1. Identify Pairs: Look for objects that are exactly the same. The game features a wide range of items; your job is to spot them from among the chaos.
2. Click to Match: After identifying the pairs, click one of them to confirm the match. You only have to click on one object in the pair for it to count.
3. Manage Your Time: This is a timed game; therefore, work quickly! However, if your time does start to run low, there's still a chance to win back some points through a quick flurry of matches.

Tips & Tricks

• Keep Your Focus: The game starts to become chaotic, but remaining calm and focused will do you a world of good. I would advise taking a quick glance at the entire scene before jumping in to look for pairs.
• Practice: As stated in that extra help section, the game gets easier with practice. Simply put, the more you do, the quicker you get at spotting matches.
• Quick Scans: By training yourself to scan the scene quickly and in an orderly fashion, you will be able to cover more ground for potential pairs in less time.
• Keep Calm: When your clock is ticking away from zero, don't stress out. Simply take a breath, and look for the easiest pairs first so you can rack up some points.

As the submission for the Griffpatch Academy contest entitled "Just Too Much," Speed Search was created in just three weeks, combining both the positive aspects of fast creation and carefully balanced game design. Despite being developed rapidly, the title is generally well-received by crowd-pleasers who enjoy hurrying the gameplay and beating time challenges.
