What Is YOURE TOO SLOW! Open MAP?

YOURE TOO SLOW! Open MAP is a lively and creative MAP hosted by the talented animator @Natures_love in honor of their 6.2k supporter milestone on Scratch. This MASSIVE PROJECT calls upon animators of every caliber to interpret the song's theme-Arising to greater heights or superiority- in their own way while getting creative with their art. They can even use their original characters (OCs) or fanmade content for the video parts. The intention is to produce a series of animated videos that integrate together as one exciting collection on which the spirit of creative competition is celebrated.

How to Play

Contestants are to put together either Anime Music Videos (AMVs) or Picture-Music Videos (PMVs) for "You're Too Slow." Fake MAP parts are allowed to be created as well, but participants should inform the host beforehand. There aren't much of palette or script restrictions so feel free to let your creativity just flow! The main idea is to project gaining superiority or stepping up in one way or another. The deadline for submission is within two months, and there is a possibility for an extension of up to two weeks. Experienced animators and amateurs are both welcome to join this project, with originality and creativity being the first priority.

Tips & Tricks

• Define the Theme: The song is all about rising above others, or showing improvement. Think of ways to represent this visually in your video.
• Use your own art: The host is encouraging originality, so use your own illustrations, animations, or characters.
• Plan the Video: Whether it's an AMV or PMV, having a definite storyline or message before production will greatly help in achieving a more cohesive and engaging piece.
• Keep in contact with the host: I'd highly recommend contacting the host if you plan to make a fake part, for everyone else's sake.
• Hide the Codeword: There is a secret codeword hidden in the project; hence, a good hiding place in your video would be highly appreciated.

This MAP is a kind of special celebration for @Natures_love, marking a 6.2k supporter milestone on Scratch. It has been years since the last MAP was hosted by them, and they now wish to bring the community together again. This project is intended as a way to give back to supporters and encourage creative output among animators.
